I've recently discovered the joy and addiction of editing wikipedia.
A few weeks ago, a church member asked about cremation and Christians. I tried explaining but ended up in an unfruitful argument. He was a former Catholic. Then I found a wikipedia article on that very issue that explained where he was coming from. I edited the article very slightly (just for grammar and style, really!) and sent the link to him.
I think this is the most wonderful and powerful tool for explaining complex issues and convincing people. Everyone believes that encyclopedia contains only Truth, don't they? Only philosophers can afford nuance (whatever that is)
Now I wonder, is there a wikipedia article about Absolute Truth? hmmmm
