How does this message board work?

On the Main Page, the first page you came to, you'll see the five Categories called Welcome!, Theology, Spiritual Formation, Walking the Talk and Arts and Entertainment. Within each category are several Forums.

Discussion and postings take place inside these forums. Click on a forum and you'll see all the Topics people have started in that forum. If want to start a new topic of discussion, click on the "Start A New Topic" link on the top right hand corner, give your topic a name and start writing. Other people will be able to read your thoughts and join you in conversation.

If you see a topic you like, click on it and you'll see the discussion already taking place. If you'll like to say something, click the Reply link on the top right hand corner and write out what you want to say and what you've written will be added to the bottom of the thread. If what you say won't quite fit in with what is being said, you can always click the "Start A New Topic" link.

Enjoy!

How do I start a new Category or Forum?

You'll have to ask me via email at caroline@sympatico.ca

I put up all the Categories and Forums late one night and I'm sure it's not complete. I am trying to keep the Main Page manageable and neat so if you think there are too many categories or forums, please contact me as well and I can collapse them together.

What should I write?

Here are a few tips:

1) Be bold. Ask the question. Write the thought. You can always edit your post later or humbly apologize for the ensuing riot.

2) Be polite. Prophetic words spoken without love is just noise (1 Cor. 13)

3) Be concise. That includes you theologians and you philosophers. And you too, preachers and teachers. This is the age of text messaging. It's the MTV generation. Anything that can't be said in half a page or less...should be divided into a couple of posts. Otherwise, people will skim it and move to the next nice concise post.
